This module allows the student to focus on the research and preparation of a role (or roles) within a larger scale, full production context. It develops the work on preparation of the Rehearsal Modules in Levels 4 and 5, placing it in a professional production context.

Prerequisites / Co-requisites
Successful completion of Level 5 BA (Hons) Acting. A good command of spoken and written English. If the student’s first language is not English, and s/he has not been taught in English or studied to A level standard in the UK, s/he will need to demonstrate a minimum level of competence.
Indicative content includes:
- Research appropriate to character(s), play and production.
- Rehearsal of a larger scale production.

- Thoroughly prepare the trainee actor for engagement in the professional performance industry

Methods of Teaching / Learning
The learning and teaching strategy is designed to:
- Engage the student with the research and preparation required for a full, larger scale production.
- Develop of the skills learnt in Levels 4 and 5 in full rehearsal.
The learning and teaching methods include:
- Tutor or visiting professional led sessions.
- Practical sessions.
- Group research.
- Individual research.
- Independent study.
Indicated Lecture Hours (which may also include seminars, tutorials, workshops and other contact time) are approximate and may include in-class tests where one or more of these are an assessment on the module. In-class tests are scheduled/organised separately to taught content and will be published on to student personal timetables, where they apply to taken modules, as soon as they are finalised by central administration. This will usually be after the initial publication of the teaching timetable for the relevant semester.
