Educational aims of the programme

  • a high-quality education, which is intellectually rigorous and up-to-date, as well as relevant to the needs of future managers, executives and professionals in the tourism Industry
  • a business management orientation related to the tourism business drawing on a range of cognate areas of study to explain and analyse this particular sector
  • an integrated approach so as to provide a coherent view that explores the interrelationships between the various components of the programme, but at the same time by way of optional modules permits students to pursue an extra element of specialisation relevant to their backgrounds, interests and/or career aspirations

Programme structure

Full-time

This Master's Degree programme is studied full-time over one academic year, consisting of 180 credits at FHEQ level 7*. All modules are semester based and worth 15 credits with the exception of project, practice based and dissertation modules.
Possible exit awards include:
- Postgraduate Diploma (120 credits)
- Postgraduate Certificate (60 credits)
*some programmes may contain up to 30 credits at FHEQ level 6.
