Module Overview
The Business Reporting Techniques module enables students to understand a research problem and source, process and conduct appropriate research while preparing a report. It facilitates independent learning process and provides them with the knowledge, skills and understanding required to articulate findings in a structured format. By covering the fundamentals of research techniques and their applications, this module will enable students to work independently for the project module. This module expects students rely on almost everything they learn in the International Business Management Programme.

The assessment strategy is designed to provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate an understanding of fundamentals of business reporting in the context of global business environment.

Methods of Teaching / Learning
The learning and teaching strategy for this module is designed to encourage students to think critically about the different stages of report writing and to apply their theoretical knowledge and research techniques.
The strategy also provides a range of integrated learning opportunities to facilitate the development of the key knowledge areas described above.
Indicated Lecture Hours (which may also include seminars, tutorials, workshops and other contact time) are approximate and may include in-class tests where one or more of these are an assessment on the module. In-class tests are scheduled/organised separately to taught content and will be published on to student personal timetables, where they apply to taken modules, as soon as they are finalised by central administration. This will usually be after the initial publication of the teaching timetable for the relevant semester.

Global and cultural capabilities: This module is designed to develop students¿ ability to think critically and apply their knowledge and skills within an international business context. Through the assessments and learning activities embedded in the module, students are encouraged to analyse and address management challenges from a global perspective. These experiences support students in applying theoretical knowledge and research techniques to practical situations, while developing a deeper understanding of international business practices.
Digital capabilities: During the module, students acquire and develop a range of digital capabilities. Students are trained in operating research software packages such as SPSS and NVivo.
Employability: During this module, students develop a range of digital capabilities. In particular, they receive training in the use of research software packages such as SPSS and NVivo to support data analysis and qualitative research.
Resourcefulness and resilience: The module requires a high level of self-discipline and initiative, encouraging students to take responsibility for their own learning and to manage complex tasks independently. By the end of the module, students will have strengthened key attributes for a career in management, including analytical thinking, intellectual independence, and the ability to support managerial decisions with empirical evidence.
