It requires students to research and identify practical implications of key theories and findings and propose knowledge-based plan for managing people in the workplace to suit organisational strategy as well as demonstrate their critical thinking skills and ability to articulate complex ideas in writing.

  • The end of term 1.5 hour exam, contributing 30% of the overall module mark. The exam at the end of the semester will require students to respond to short answer questions aimed to test students’ knowledge and understanding of the module concepts.

Formative assessment and feedback

Students will be given formative feedback in lectures through a variety of interactive activities. These will involve discussions with students and review of lecture content to check their level of understanding and provide feedback. Also, students will be expected to see the module convener on 1:1 basis and receive formative feedback on their individual assignment progress.  Additionally, exam preparation session will be delivered at the final lecture of the semester, aimed at recapitulating the module content and helping students to prepare for the exam.
