• understanding objectives and demands of research by becoming familiar with the work of a PG student and presenting findings by inserting a screencast on e-portfolio
• presenting as part of a group
• participating in electronic Discussion Forums
• becoming familiar with the World of Work by preparation of e portfolio, CV and application letter

The assessment strategy is designed to provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate that they have successfully met the learning outcomes of the module (see above).
Thus, the summative assessment for this module consists of three pieces of coursework:
• Coursework 1 (10 % of the module): Scientific Reportins (LO 1)
• Coursework 2 (30 % of the module): A screencast published on e portfolio based on interview of a PG student (LO 2)
• Coursework 3 (30 % of the module): A Scientific Article using correct formatting (LO 3)
• Coursework 4 (30 % of the module): CV and Application letter (LOs 4, 5)
Formative assessment is provided for outcomes of practice during workshops.
Feedback Feedback is provided orally in each workshop

Methods of Teaching / Learning
The learning and teaching strategy is designed to provide practical support and enhance study skills and employability. The material is delivered in 16 workshops (2 h each). The workshops are interactive, giving the opportunity to try out new technology and become familiar with its effective use.
The learning and teaching methods include: role play, group discussions, IT work, presentation practice etc.
Indicated Lecture Hours (which may also include seminars, tutorials, workshops and other contact time) are approximate and may include in-class tests where one or more of these are an assessment on the module. In-class tests are scheduled/organised separately to taught content and will be published on to student personal timetables, where they apply to taken modules, as soon as they are finalised by central administration. This will usually be after the initial publication of the teaching timetable for the relevant semester.
