The assessment strategy is designed to provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate the advancement of their leadership/ management practice and critical analysis of the underpinning evidence base.
Thus, the summative assessment for this module consists of:
• An eportfolio relevant to own area of practice. The eportfolio will enable students to demonstrate advancement of their knowledge, skills and application of key theories and principles, underpinned by the dimensions of the NHS Leadership Academy Framework for leaders in healthcare

Module aims

  • Enable healthcare leaders and managers to demonstrate advancement of their knowledge, skills understanding in relation to the relevant underpinning theory within their area of practice.
  • Explore opportunities to enhance organisational culture utilising the evidence base
  • Support leaders to empower and support the development of healthcare workers

Delivery of Module
This an ONLINE, e-learning module accessible via the University Surrey Learn platform.

Indicated Lecture Hours (which may also include seminars, tutorials, workshops and other contact time) are approximate and may include in-class tests where one or more of these are an assessment on the module. In-class tests are scheduled/organised separately to taught content and will be published on to student personal timetables, where they apply to taken modules, as soon as they are finalised by central administration. This will usually be after the initial publication of the teaching timetable for the relevant semester.
