The assessment strategy is designed to provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate and apply a range of HR and Leadership skills; the opportunity to critically reflect on their skill set integrated with critical evaluation of the principles of continuous professional development and develop a personal development plan.
Thus, the summative assessment for this module consists of:
• Completion of individual portfolio and an individual student presentation
Formative assessment – students will receive verbal feedback during seminars related to case study analysis and during participation in skills workshops

The teaching and learning methods are designed to give students the opportunity to gain knowledge and understanding of the relevant theory and application of a broad range of skills which are pertinent to contribute to an effective Human Resource Management career. HR Skills workshops will include but are not limited to role play scenarios ;participation in a mock recruitment assessment centre and a professional networking workshop with external HR professionals invited as part of our Community of Practice for HR professionals in collaboration with the CIPD Surrey and North Hants branch.
Indicated Lecture Hours (which may also include seminars, tutorials, workshops and other contact time) are approximate and may include in-class tests where one or more of these are an assessment on the module. In-class tests are scheduled/organised separately to taught content and will be published on to student personal timetables, where they apply to taken modules, as soon as they are finalised by central administration. This will usually be after the initial publication of the teaching timetable for the relevant semester.
