Assessment Strategy
The assessment strategy is designed to provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate their advanced assessment knowledge and skills for a range of body systems.
Thus, the summative assessment for this module consists of: Case based OSCE- 50 minutes (40%) Reflective clinical log 1250 words (60%)
Formative assessments include peer assessed formative OSCE, formative review of clinical log & plan of reflective case
Module aims
- • Equip practitioners with a knowledge and understanding of the concepts of advanced practice building upon and developing their reasoning skills based upon a comprehensive physical, social and psychological assessment to inform their patient/ client management

Methods of Teaching / Learning
The learning and teaching strategy is designed to reflect the programme and School's learning and teaching strategy to create dynamic, effective and caring health professionals. It will facilitate this through the use of blended learning and increasingly e-learning. The aim is that this module will be offered in 2 formats, either as a blended learning module or as a full e-learning experience, to meet the individual learning needs of students.

Indicated Lecture Hours (which may also include seminars, tutorials, workshops and other contact time) are approximate and may include in-class tests where one or more of these are an assessment on the module. In-class tests are scheduled/organised separately to taught content and will be published on to student personal timetables, where they apply to taken modules, as soon as they are finalised by central administration. This will usually be after the initial publication of the teaching timetable for the relevant semester.
