Assessment Strategy
The assessment strategy is designed to provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate the intended learning outcomes Thus, the summative assessment for this module consists of: End of unit Assignment. To support the learning formative assessment will be employed as method for self reflection. Formative assessment - On-line tests Feedback, Verbal feedback will be provided in workshops. Written feedback will be provided on the coursework assignment. Formative feedback is provided on the on-line test

Methods of Teaching / Learning
The learning and teaching strategy is designed to develop an appreciation of non-technical challenges and barriers for practicing engineers and research scientists. Drawing on a number of case studies the participants will explore the core engineer attributes through a mix of lectures, self-paced work and active discussion. The learning and teaching methods include: 1 hour of Lectures per week over 11 weeks, 1 hour of discussion workshop per week for 11 weeks, 2 hours of revision lectures, assignment work. Indicated Lecture Hours (which may also include seminars, tutorials, workshops and other contact time) are approximate and may include in-class tests where one or more of these are an assessment on the module. In-class tests are scheduled/organised separately to taught content and will be published on to student personal timetables, where they apply to taken modules, as soon as they are finalised by central administration. This will usually be after the initial publication of the teaching timetable for the relevant semester.
