The assessment strategy is designed to provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate achievement of the learning outcomes.
A weighted aggregate mark of 50% is required to pass the module.
With the exception of the Medicine Management Calculations Exam, which is a pass/fail component, however with a pass mark of 100% in year 3 in order to meet the NMC Standards of Education (2010).
The summative assessment for this module consists of;
Clinical Grading tool
Achievement of the Essential Skills Clusters and completion of practice assessment documentation. Pass/Fail
Safe Administration of Medicines exam 50%
Drug calculation exam Pass/fail
Peer review of micro-teaching session in preparation for the snapshot assessment.
Practice drug calculation sessions

Self-directed safe medicate drug calculation questions
Advice and feedback from mentors in practice
Reflection and feedback from service users and carers
- This module aims to: Enable the student to further develop strategies in clinical leadership to enhance inter professional working. The module will also facilitate consolidation of clinical practice in preparation for Professional Regulation.
|Assert confidence and demonstrate a depth of knowledge which is applied to practise and decision making and thus act as a role model promoting a professional image
|Practice autonomously and with precision and effectiveness in situations of varying complexity and demonstrate the ability to lead appropriately in in emergency and non-emergency situations

|With critical awareness undertake analysis and synthesis of a wide range of information and evidence to inform a choice of solutions to problems in clinical leadership and practice settings.
