|PORTFOLIO (UKONS SACT Passport Part 2)
- 20 minute presentation of a service development proposal with their Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy service (100% of module marks)
- Submission of a practice portfolio (UKONS SACT Passport Part 2) (Pass/Fail)
- Enable nurses to acquire the competence to administer Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) safely whilst ensuring that individualised care is achieved through comprehensive assessment and management strategies.
|Expand their existing theoretical base to enhance their own and others' practice in relation to the care pathway of a person with cancer who requires Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) including cancer biology and cytotoxic and immunotherapy pharmacology.
|Explore their clinical role in terms of nurse led practice and multi-disciplinary team education.
|Critically analyse their Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) service in terms of leadership and management issues.
|Critically reflect on their professional practice and evaluate the need for service improvement and practice development.

Methods of Teaching / Learning
The learning and teaching strategy is designed to: facilitate learning and teaching by using a variety of teaching methods including structured and work based learning
The learning and teaching methods include:
Blended learning –
- Use of e-learning platform.
- Facilitation and interactive lectures/discussions
- Group discussions, presentation and student led seminars
- Case studies/narratives and simulation scenarios in skills labs e.g. neutropenic sepsis
- Digital media
- Utilisation of online resources to develop knowledge for group activity.
Work based learning –

Indicated Lecture Hours (which may also include seminars, tutorials, workshops and other contact time) are approximate and may include in-class tests where one or more of these are an assessment on the module. In-class tests are scheduled/organised separately to taught content and will be published on to student personal timetables, where they apply to taken modules, as soon as they are finalised by central administration.
