This module allows students to demonstrate their skills practically in roles within GSA productions and/or on professional placement(s). This will develop the skills and theories they have learned in other modules and give them the opportunity to apply them in real world contexts.

Module content
The module will mainly consist of a series of practical roles undertaken during the programme. To support this problem-based learning, students will also participate in a series of seminars and tutorials in order to offer them appropriate guidance, feedback, and reflective prompts in order to aid their professional development across the year.

Assessment Strategy
The assessment strategy is designed to provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate their achievement of the learning outcomes over a sustained period of practice.
Thus, the summative assessment for this module consists of:
- Continuous assessment of their practical work (addressing learning outcomes 1 - 5)
Formative assessment
Formative Assessment and Feedback will be received throughout practical work, and the production process
Feedback
Students will receive feedback through a number of channels. Students are expected to use their reflective skills and knowledge of production process to generate their own feedback. As they are working within problem-based learning activities, the productions themselves will provide feedback in the form of meeting budgets, completing tasks within schedule, the morale of the group etc. All professional creatives and technicians assigned to the production and/or hosting the student on placement will be asked for official feedback which will be discussed with the student in individual tutorials. At the completion of GSA productions students will also be given and have the opportunity to give their peers group feedback through the discussion seminars.

Methods of Teaching / Learning
The learning and teaching strategy is designed to: offer students authentic experiences in which to demonstrate their learning and provide them with opportunities to build their professional network by encouraging them to work with industry professionals either on GSA-produced events or within the industry itself. This approach allows students to demonstrate the skills and theories learnt in earlier modules in contexts that are a closer simulation of professional practice.
Indicated Lecture Hours (which may also include seminars, tutorials, workshops and other contact time) are approximate and may include in-class tests where one or more of these are an assessment on the module. In-class tests are scheduled/organised separately to taught content and will be published on to student personal timetables, where they apply to taken modules, as soon as they are finalised by central administration. This will usually be after the initial publication of the teaching timetable for the relevant semester.

Sustainability
Students will be expected to demonstrate commitment to sustainable production practices throughout their practical work. Specifically, sustainable development goals of good health and well-being, responsible consumption and production, and climate action. Depending on the specific projects and roles students undertake other sustainable development goals may be appropriate.
Employability
This module targets the development of students' employability skills by replicating the projects they are likely to undertake in the industry, and by allowing them to demonstrate the learning outcomes by pursuing placements within the industry. By providing opportunities for students to not only meet, but to demonstrate their skills and professionalism to current practitioners, this module will help students build their professional network for their employment after graduation.
Resourcefulness and resilience
By placing students in supported real life production projects they are given the responsibility to demonstrate the resourcefulness and resilience required of independent proactive professionals. They will develop this resourcefulness and resilience by applying their skills and knowledge to find creative solutions to the problems posed by mounting projects within the creative industries. The students' ability to develop these skills will be facilitated and supported through the multiple channels of feedback and support offered.
