Assessment Strategy

The assessment strategy is designed to provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate achievement of all learning outcomes:

Thus, the summative assessment for this module consists of:

  • Study Exchange

Students must attempt and pass the agreed number of credits at the partner institution in order to successfully meet the requirements of the module.

  • Final Report

Completed at the end of their study exchange, this report requires students to critically reflect on their academic, personal and professional development. Students will also take account of their inter-cultural learning, any language capabilities they may have acquired from studying in a non-native language and reflections on how the study exchange has enhanced their career prospects.

In case a student fails short of the requirement to pass the agreed number of credits at the partner institution, they will be required to take an oral exam based on their final report. This will be a pass/fail type of assessment.

The requirements of the partner institution are applied to any aspect of formative assessment and feedback.
