Educational aims of the programme
- Applied Knowledge and Problem-Solving for Society: Equip students to apply their learning creatively to develop sustainable, socially responsible solutions to theoretical and practical legal problems, demonstrating resourcefulness and adaptability.
- Critical Thinking, Analysis, and Ethical Decision-Making: Develop students' critical and analytical skills, fostering the ability to construct frameworks for understanding real world issues, evaluate diverse evidence, and make ethically informed decisions within legal and societal contexts.

This Bachelor's Degree (Honours) programme is studied full-time over four academic years, consisting of a Foundation Year and 360 credits (120 credits at FHEQ levels 4, 5 and 6). All modules are based on a 15-credit tariff

We examine how globalization and culture influence the law. Our interactive, collaborative teaching engages students from diverse backgrounds, encouraging teamwork and multiple perspectives. Through case studies and theory, students develop an appreciation for diversity and adapt their practices accordingly. Flexible assessments allow exploration of global and cultural themes aligned with students¿ interests.
Digital Capabilities
Students build strong digital skills, including critical use of GenAI, Surreylearn, legal databases, and general digital tools. They learn to source, evaluate, and create digital content responsibly, staying current with legal developments and applying ethical standards in academic and legal contexts.
Employability
Our programme develops core legal knowledge, critical thinking, and practical skills. Industry speakers and real-world assessments enhance learning, while teamwork, communication, research, and time management prepare students for employment or self-employment.
Resourcefulness and Resilience
Scaffolded learning supports students in building confidence, independence, and resilience. Individual guidance and formative assessments help students improve continuously, while personalized study schedules foster sustainable learning habits.
Sustainability
We explore sustainability in law, analyzing case studies to highlight societal and environmental impacts. Students apply critical thinking to sustainability challenges and can pursue topics of interest, connecting their learning to the UN SDGs and Inner Development Goals for meaningful, future-focused engagement.
