Educational aims of the programme

  • To provide a high quality education that is intellectually rigorous and up-to-date, as well as relevant to the needs of future entrepreneurs whether they are inside existing organisations or starting up companies.
  • Modules provide a theoretical framework and practical skills that aspiring entrepreneurs need in order to cope with an increasingly complex and dynamic business world in which we live.
  • To provide the students with the basis for developing their own approach to learning and personal development.
  • To provide not only a rigorous treatment of the relevant theory, but also the quantitative techniques necessary to understand the literature and undertake empirical investigations in the areas of entrepreneurship.
  • The optional modules aim to offer students a broader perspective on the subject matter and allow them to specialise in areas that are of particular interest to them.
  • The final project provides an opportunity for students to apply their knowledge in the form of either a business plan, dissertation or a consulting project; a dissertation in the form of an academically based dissertation is not available as an alternative.
