Global and cultural capabilities: Our campus, student body, and teaching team are truly international and bring an array of ideas, perspectives, experiences, backgrounds, and cultural knowledge to our programme. The collaborative nature of our modules, which are offered both at the University of Surrey and at SII-DUFE, ensures that content is internationally focused. Our modules do not have a singular geographic focus and students are immersed in a broad range of knowledge at the same time as being challenged to develop their cultural competencies by being open to alternative ideas and different understanding. In-class discussions, group tasks and assessments foster trust, and inclusivity and develop students' appreciation for alternative cultures, ways of working and worldviews.

Resourcefulness and Resilience: Building resourcefulness and resilience is a key element of this programme. Students will be given the freedom to act effectively, to use information and resources wisely and efficiently within a challenging yet supportive module structure. Student success is developed through both formative and summative assessment, with feedback focused on development and improvement. Classroom activities, laboratory and group work build skills around analytics, data management, problem solving, and self-efficacy, while also encouraging determination, flexibility, and adaptability in the face of change and disruption.
