Other information

Students are required to complete and pass all modules; the pass mark for each module is 50%, aggregated across the different units of assessment. The overall aggregate mark required to progress from the Foundation Year into Year 1 (Level 4) of the degree programme is 50%, as this is closer to the normal University entry requirements for Year 1 (Level 4). Students who pass all modules but fail to achieve a level aggregate of 50% will be unable to progress and will not be permitted to retake any assessments in order to improve their mark; they will be issued with a transcript of their marks but will be ineligible for any award. The Foundation Year in Engineering and Physical Science is available only in full time mode of study.
